Up to 120,000 BGN for Cybersecurity Improvements in Bulgarian SMEs

The overall budget for the procedure amounts to BGN 4,000,000 and is financed through the Digital Europe Programme 2021–2027, as well as through national co-financing.

On June 16, 2025, it was officially announced that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Bulgaria can now apply for grants of up to 120,000 BGN (approximately €61,000) to strengthen their cybersecurity posture. This national initiative is aligned with the European Union's broader effort to support digital resilience among businesses, particularly those in critical and high-risk sectors.

Companies intending to apply can ask questions and seek additional information about the application requirements until mid-July. Project proposals are submitted entirely electronically, with the deadline being July 30, 2025.
